When looking to buy a used car, I always bring it to G&C to look it over; they take an hour and a half, let the mechanic show you what he's found, and document everything with lots of photographs and written details. With this last visit, the car checked out well mechanically, but the body work from a significant accident was done amateurishly. They showed me everything and quickly acknowledged that a body shop needed to give a second opinion since G&C does not do body work. Doing so, a recommended body shop gave a free estimate that nixed the purchase. I value G&C's expertise, its frankness and its impartial honesty.
